Creative name suggestions

The Name Combiner automatically creates new names by joining parts of the names you enter, following fixed rules for how names are split and combined. The results are creative suggestions intended to inspire you and help you brainstorm.

Results are not reviewed by a person, and they are not recommendations. A name appearing in your results does not mean it is suitable, meaningful, appropriate or safe to use for any purpose. Generated names may, by coincidence, form real words or have unintended meanings, including offensive ones, in some languages or cultures.

No guarantee of uniqueness

Gonoma does not guarantee that any generated name is unique or original. A result may:

• already be the name of a real person, company, product, brand, app, place or fictional character,
• be generated for other users who enter the same or similar names, and
• be very similar to an existing name, even if it isn’t an exact match.

Gonoma does not search any database, register or the internet to check whether a generated name is already in use.

Trademarks and business names

Gonoma does not guarantee that a generated name is free from trademark rights, and it does not perform trademark searches.

A name produced by the tool may be identical or confusingly similar to a registered or unregistered trademark, a registered company name or a trading name. Using such a name, particularly for commercial purposes, could lead to legal disputes, a requirement to stop using the name, or other consequences. Gonoma does not provide any right, licence or permission to use a name in a way that would infringe someone else’s rights.

Business-name rules differ by country, and some registries may reject a name that is too similar to an existing one or that uses restricted words. Gonoma does not check whether a name can be registered as a business.

Domain names, usernames and social handles

Gonoma does not guarantee that a matching domain name, username or social media handle is available, and it does not check availability with any domain registrar or online platform.

Even if a name appears unused, the domain or handle you want may already be registered, reserved, for sale at a premium price, or restricted by the platform’s own rules. Username Style results are formatted to look like usernames, but that doesn’t mean they are available on any service.

Verify before commercial use

Before you use a generated name for a business, brand, product, app, domain, social media account or any other commercial purpose, you are responsible for independently verifying that it is available and appropriate. We recommend that you:

• Search trademarks in every country where you plan to operate, using official trademark office databases or the WIPO Global Brand Database.
• Check business registrations with the company or business registry in your country or state.
• Check domain availability with a domain registrar for the extensions you need.
• Check usernames and handles on every social media platform or service you plan to use.
• Search the web to see whether the name is already used, and check its meaning in the languages spoken by your audience.
