Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of Gonoma.xyz (“Gonoma”, “we”, “us” or “our”), including the Name Combiner & Generator and every other page on the website.

By using Gonoma, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled on Gonoma.

Use of the website

Gonoma is a free online tool that combines two to four names into new name suggestions. You can use it without creating an account or providing personal information.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive and revocable permission to access and use the website in line with these Terms. We may change, pause or stop any part of the website at any time, including features of the Name Combiner, without notice.

If you use Gonoma on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you’re allowed to accept these Terms on its behalf.

Permitted use

You’re welcome to use Gonoma for any lawful personal, creative or business purpose. For example, you may:

• generate names for couples, babies, pets, characters, teams, projects, usernames, brands and businesses,
• copy, save, share and use the names you generate, including for commercial purposes,
• link to Gonoma from your own website, blog or social media, and
• share screenshots of your results, as long as you don’t suggest Gonoma endorses you or your product.

Prohibited activities

When using Gonoma, you agree not to:

• use the website for anything illegal, or to break the rights of others,
• try to disrupt, overload or damage the website or the servers it runs on,
• try to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, its administration area or its hosting,
• use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access the website in a way that places an unreasonable load on it,
• copy or republish the website, its design or its written content as your own, or run a copy of the Name Combiner as a competing service,
• introduce viruses, malicious code or anything else harmful, or
• use the contact form or email to send spam, abuse or harassment.

If you misuse the website, we may block or limit your access.

Tool results

The names produced by the Name Combiner are creative suggestions. They are created automatically by combining parts of the names you enter, following set rules. No person reviews them, and they are not advice.

Because results are generated automatically:

• a generated name may already be used by a person, company, brand or product,
• it may be a registered trademark, or be similar to one,
• it may have an unintended meaning, including an offensive one, in another language or culture, and
• a matching domain name, username or social media handle may not be available.

You are responsible for deciding whether and how to use any name you generate. Before using a name for a business, product, brand, domain or anything important to you, we recommend that you check its meaning, search existing trademarks in the countries you’ll operate in, and confirm availability. For significant business decisions, consider getting professional legal advice.

We don’t claim ownership of the names you generate, and you don’t need to credit Gonoma when you use them. However, because the same names could be generated by other people, and because many names can’t be owned by anyone, we can’t give you exclusive rights to any result.

The names you type into the Name Combiner remain yours. They are processed in your browser and aren’t sent to us.

Accuracy and availability

We work to keep Gonoma useful and running smoothly, but we can’t promise that:

• the website will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors,
• the tool will produce a particular number or type of results for every set of names, or
• information on the website, such as tips and FAQs, will always be complete or up to date.

The website may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. If you spot an error, please let us know.

Intellectual property

The Gonoma name, logo, website design, written content and the code that powers the Name Combiner belong to Gonoma, or are used with permission. They are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may view and use the website as described in these Terms, but you may not copy, reproduce or republish our content, design or code, in whole or in substantial part, without our written permission. Short quotes with a link back to Gonoma are fine.

As explained in Tool results, this does not apply to the names you generate, which you’re free to use.

Third-party links

Gonoma may contain links to websites or services run by other people. We provide these links for convenience only. We don’t control those websites and aren’t responsible for their content, products, services or privacy practices.

Visiting a linked website is at your own discretion, and its own terms and policies will apply.

Disclaimer

Gonoma is provided free of charge, on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or promises, express or implied, about the website or the names it generates, including that they will be suitable for a particular purpose, original, available for registration or free from third-party rights.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Gonoma will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website or any name it generates. This includes, for example, costs from rebranding, disputes over a name you chose to use, or loss of data, business, profits or opportunities.

Because Gonoma is a free service, if we are found liable to you despite the above, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid to use the website, which is nothing.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law that applies to you, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when we add new features or to reflect changes in the law. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

If you keep using Gonoma after the Terms change, you accept the updated Terms. If you don’t agree with a change, please stop using the website.

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply.
